A Car Accident Leaves A Norwich Woman In Critical Condition

NORWICH, Ohio-Â Officials say a Norwich woman is in critical condition after being hit by a full-sized dump truck.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon just after 2 p.m. Sergeant Kevin Kelley with the Ohio State Highway Patrol says18-year-old Elizabeth Stewart was traveling westbound on US 22 just east of the Norwich exit, following behind a vehicle. The vehicle ahead of Stewart successfully turned into the BP gas station. That’s when Stewart attempted to make the same turn, but was struck by the full-sized dump truck.
Officials say Stewart was transported to the hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time, and the accident remains under investigation. The highway patrol was assisted by New Concord fire and ambulance.
