Greater Zanesville Singers to Perform for First Time This Year
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This Sunday the Greater Zanesville Singers will perform for the first time all year.
Kim Peadon, who is the director for the Greater Zanesville Singers say Sunday’s concert will feature both religious music and popular songs, and she invites everyone to attend.
“It’ll be a mixed concert. The name of it is ‘Then Sings my Soul,’ which we think kind of identifies how the Greater Zanesville Singer feel about music and singing,†said Peadon. “It’ll be about half sacred music and half popular tunes that people will recognize. Some Broadway numbers, some county western, some oldies but goodies.â€
The event is Sunday June 5 at 2 p.m. at Coburn United Methodist Church on Maple Avenue. Peadon said that the Greater Zanesville Singers takes all who have a love for music.
“We are a volunteer group of people from the Zanesville, Cambridge, New Concord, Crooksville area, that just have a love to sing. We have people who do all sorts of jobs but they get together every Monday evening to practice. There’s no audition required. If you love to sing, we’d love to have you,†said Peadon.
The event is free to the public.
