The Muskingum County Treasurer’s Office has now implemented online payment via credit, debit, or electronic check.

“There will be a charge to the tax payer, Muskingum County Treasurer Chris Hamill said. “The amount will be listed when you beginning the process of making your payment. So please review the charges before you start the process.”

You can still mail your taxes to the treasure’s office, pay in person with a check, money order, or cash or at any Muskingum County Community Bank by the due date. If you pay at the Community Bank you must have your bill with you at the time of payment. Visa or debit card will not be accepted at the treasurer’s office or by phone.

“So you can go in at anytime and you can make your payment right online. So if you forget come the due date, it’s there for you and your convenience to make the payment online. I would also like to remind the taxpayers the due date is June 24 by 4:30 p.m. that’s for all real estate taxes and mobile home taxes are due July the 1st,” Hammil said.
