The United Way Hosts Its Celebration Breakfast

ZANESVILLES, Ohio– The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties hosted its celebration breakfast Wednesday morning at the Welcome Center.
During the breakfast The United Way discussed allocation of funds, 2015 campaign results, and appointing Holly Voltz as the new 2016 campaign chair.
“We’re looking back at the resources that we’ve been able to raise and thanks the volunteers that were so critical in that success,” Executive Director Meg Deedrick. “And we’re also looking forward and letting people know these are the investments in the areas of health, education, and financial stability they we’re able to make as a result.”
Genesis Healthcare System, Century National Bank, and Kellogg’s received the Top Three Workplace Campaigns Award. Avon, North Valley Bank, and Dollar General received the Most Improved Campaigns. Mick Amicone , owner of The Fieldhouse received Chairperson’s Award. Jim Evans received the President’s Award. Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio received the Arlene and Clay Littick Service Award.
“We are going to increase the amount of our investment.The results of campaign are greater this year. Our impact as a result is about to be greater and we’re able to invest more. We’re just so appreciative of all the volunteers, all of the donors, and all of our partners that are able to make this happen,” Deedrick said.
Community impact investments for 2016-17 totals more than $500,000.
