Possible homicide in Johnstown

NEWARK, Ohio – The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible homicide near Johnstown.

Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives responded to a call on June 27 about a deceased person at 8750 Jug Street Road in Johnstown, lying in the weeds. Authorities arrived on scene to find the partially decomposed remains of a person.

No identity could be made of the person. The Licking County Sherriff’s Office is treating this as a possible homicide.
