Benefit Held for Injured Roseville Resident

Roseville residents gathered to support one of their own on Easter Sunday…

The "Debby Hoops Benefit" was held at the Roseville Community Center Sunday afternoon. Hoops suffered an injury last December, which resulted in all five toes and part of her foot being amputated.

"My husband had just switched jobs, so we had no medical insurance at that time, and right now the bills are up over 120,000 dollars," said Hoops.

There was plenty of food, games and raffle drawings. Hoops said she appreciates the support, and she’s optimistic about her recovery.

"I’ve actually went back to work since then. It’s difficult sometimes because it still swells and stuff, but I mean it’s healed all up. It’s just that I’ll never…I’ll never run and play with the grandkids or anything like that."

The benefit took place from 2 to 6 p.m.
