Rally Scheduled for Sunday
One political group is asking you to become involved in the election process and government by attending a weekend rally.
The Tea Party will hold their 4th Annual rally on the steps of the courthouse, Sunday April 15. Some of the candidates that appear on the November ballot will speak as well as Personhood Ohio, a pro-life organization, and those involved in the Workplace Freedom Amendment.
"Both parties have been invited, so the democrats have been invited and so have the republicans," said organizer Kay Clymer. "They have free reign to speak. We ask everyone to be responsible in what they say and usually that’s exactly what happens."
Another topic at the rally will be the importance of voicing your opinion through voting. Clymer says there are many excuses as to why people don’t vote.
"Others say, no it doesn’t matter. I don’t vote. I’m not interested and that’s the saddest thing because we’re a country that really truly still has that ability to vote and have our voices heard," said Clymer.
The rally will take place between 2pm-5:30pm Sunday afternoon at the courthouse, rain or shine. Clymer said they’ll also be an opportunity to talk to the candidates and ask questions.
