Erskine Enters Guilty Plea

A man who was originally charged in connection with a home invasion in Muskingum County made an appearance in Court Wednesday.  20-year-old Cory Erskine Jr., address unknown,. entered a guilty plea to aggravated burglary in front of Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle.  Three other charges – kidnapping, aggravated robbery, both with firearm specifications – and theft will be dropped at sentencing. Muskingum County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Erskine along with 29-year-old Chaise King in October of 2011 after authorities say they broke into a home on Old River Road, tied up a woman inside and committed a theft.  In February King was sentenced to three years in prison for the crime.  Judge Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Erskine’s bond at 500-thousand dollars.
