Animal Shelter to Raise Money for Dog in Need of Medical Assistance

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society is raising money for a dog in need of medical assistance.
Meet Charmer. Charmer came to the Animal Shelter in March with a classic allergy case that effects his skin. Registered Veterinary Technician, Brittany Kennedy said they are aiming to raise $1,000 to allergy test him and find out what exactly Charmer is allergic to.
"That way we can test him, find out what he’s allergic to and start a series of vaccines just like in people and we can help his system get over being allergic to to whatever it is allergenic to," said Kennedy.
Kennedy said outside of Charmers allergies, he does make a great pet. In fact, if you are interested in adopting charmer you can make him a part of your home for 75 bucks plus the cost of his dog tags.
"We’re trying to get him healthy so that he is adoptable. Not that he’s not adoptable now but, we want to take on the cost of finding out exactly what is his medical condition, what his allergies are and get him started on the vaccine so that way the adopter and the adoption family won’t have to take on that cost," said Kennedy.
If you would like to make a donation you can stop by the Animal Shelter Society off of Newark Rd. or make a donation through their GoFundMe at: www.gofundme.com/2e2ya8s.
