Troopers To Patrol Roads Friday
The Highway Patrol says it plans to be out on area roads Friday as part of an event called “All Out Day”. Zanesville Post Lt. Steven Rine says all sworn officers from all ranks will be patrolling Ohio roads in an effort to reduce fatal and injury crashes. Rine says this effort, which serves as a high visability enforcement effort, is not only a deterrent for crash causing violations, but also calls attention to dangerous driving behaviors. Rine says with the onset of warm weather and an increase in fatalities, it’s more important than ever to make sure motorist are keeping their eyes on the road, wearing their safety belts and never driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The Highway Patrol is also expected to announce the location of a drunken driving checkpoint in our area soon.
