Woman Rescued From Buckeye Lake

It was a close call at Buckeye Lake on Saturday.

According to Assistant Chief Rod Riley with the Buckeye Lake Village Fire Department, a woman was rescued from a swimming area.

Riley said the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Buckeye Lake Police Department and Buckeye Lake Patrol responded to a call about a possible drowning in Crane Lake, which is near the North Shore boat ramp.

He said the woman was airlifted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with unknown injuries.
