Two Killed in Crash

Two Thornville residents were killed Monday evening in a motorcycle crash.

According to the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, around 5 p.m. 65-year-old Gary Pugh and 66-year-old Ethel Pugh were traveling east on Pleasantville Road in Fairfield County.

Troopers say the Can-Am Spyder they were traveling on went off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting both riders. The Pughs died at the scene. It is not clear at this time who was driving the vehicle.

Troopers say neither Pugh was wearing a helmet and they urge all motorcyclists to use available safety equipment.
