Pet of the week: Sky

Sky

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The skies have finally cleared over Southeastern Ohio, and the Animal Shelter Society has a beautiful Sky there as well.

Meet Sky, a two-year-old pitbull mix with a unique white and spotted brown coat. Her personality and her coat really make her stand out. Animal Shelter Society Board Vice President, Lisa Burkett said Sky is a very sweet girl, but would fit best in a home without any other animals.

“Sky stands out right now because she is just a beautiful little pitty girl. She’s got a beautiful coat, very soft to the touch and very pretty eyes,” said Burkett.

The shelter is almost completely full with dogs and even some puppies. The Animal Shelter Society also has some fun events in the coming weeks.

Burkett added, “so, this Thursday coming up we have our ice cream social which is free Tom’s Ice Cream by donation only. You can come out, meet some dogs. The shelter is near capacity right now so it would be a great time to come and adopt and meet your next family member. Then we also have July 20th our golf outing.”

The golf tournament also has sponsorship opportunities. Sky’s adoption rate is $130 plus a license which is an additional $10.75.
