Rosalee May

Rosalee May age 87, of Zanesville, OH passed away Tuesday July 9, 2019 at Continuing Healthcare at Adams Lane, in Zanesville under the care of Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born November 7, 1931 in Crooksville, OH, a daughter of the late Harley and Lillie Oliver Gottke.

She was a member of the Zanesville South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She spent many years working for JC Penny’s in Sales.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard J. May, whom she married May 23, 1953 and who passed October 7, 2002.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her son Allan and wife Mardi May of Zanesville; 3 grandchildren Kiel, Justin, and Sara Beth May; 2 step-grandchildren LaDeana Flood and Shouna Beish.

Cremation will be observed, and a memorial service will be held on Sunday July 21, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1705 Pine Street Zanesville, Ohio 43701.  Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
