Election Day Has Arrived

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Election Day has finally arrived and the voting
public came out to the polls in full force today. Area voters made
decisions regarding various levies and selected local government
representatives.

Voter Christine
Swope says the race for school board was one that interested her.

“I think all of us
should be concerned about the future of our children; and the schools
are so important and the people who are on the school board. Our
mayor—I mean, to be forward thinking.”

Jan O’Shaunghnessy
says the general public has the responsibility to vote.

“I think it’s
the responsibility of every adult to take an active role in what’s
happening in our communities; and the most important thing about that
is voting. Picking the people who will make decisions for us and
represent us.”
