Zanesville Daybreak Rotary Volunteers Join Habitat for Humanity’s Crew Building Home

Well over a dozen men and women volunteer time to help build a house as part of Habitat for Humanity in Zanesville.
The house is located at 338 Meade St. — that’s near Ridge Ave. and Brighton Blvd.
“Generally, if the weather is cooperative we could build a home in about sixteen weeks. The weather is probably not going to be very cooperative and we’ve already had trouble with some rain days and such, so I would say that she’ll be in her home probably in the early spring,” says Melissa Best, Director of Community Engagement for Habitat for Humanity Southeast Ohio.
“This is the twenty-fifth anniversary of our Zanesville Daybreak Rotary Club and we wanted to pick kind of a signature project, and so we’ve partnered with Habitat. We’ve met the homeowner, she’s out on the worksite all the time, and it’s just a real pleasure to help build her home. It’s gonna change her life,” says Ed Mulholland, of Zanesville Daybreak Rotary.
Habitat for Humanity has built several new homes on that block for eligible families.
