“Wash Your Ride” This Saturday

There’s a chance for some residents in our area to "Wash Their Ride" at an event this Saturday.

Northside Oxygen and Medical on Wabash Avenue in Zanesville is asking those who use wheelchairs to bring them in for a free cleaning. During that time the staff will also check out the chair to see if any repairs need to be made and give estimates for anything that needs fixed or replaced.

"It’s like any other vehicle you might drive or use daily," said Ed Guy Northside Support Supervisor. "Keeping it cleaned and keeping it maintenance keeps your mobility at its best and helps them from having any breakdowns."

The event also serves as a chance for customers to ask questions in an ever changing healthcare industry.

"Typically they want to know how soon they can get a new wheelchair or what their insurance will pay for now because with healthcare industry now there’s a lot of changes so they have a lot of questions about billing and services that can be provided," said Guy.

The "Wash Your Ride" event takes place from 10-3pm. There will also be raffles, door prizes and refreshments.
