MCCF is offering two scholarships for wide range of students

ZANESVILLE – The Charles and Mary Lou Heck Educational and Forest M. and Meryl C. Cale scholarships can be applied for by a resident of Muskingum County and a graduate of a Muskingum County high school. They also need to be an undergraduate or graduate students.

“One of the nice things about this scholarship is its a good amount to be awarded to those individuals (and) not only that but because its kind of towards the end of the scholarship cycle. Those that applied and maybe didn’t receive a scholarship or still need just a little extra money as they head into the Fall; these are two scholarships that can help them accomplish being able to go this Fall,” MCCF CEO Brian Wagner said.

Wagner says there is not a strict list of requirements for Muskingum County students to apply.

“Maintaining that C average, that 2.0, is pretty much the main criteria that we’re looking for again so it’s very broad, we usually get a lot of applicants for this but we do our best to make sure we can award as many students as possible,” Wagner said.

The application can be found on the community foundation’s website and the deadline to submit one is August 10th.
