State Rep Adam Holmes conducting “office hours”

ZANESVILLE – The “office hours” were at the John McIntire Library this afternoon.
Holmes was thankful for the opportunity with MCLS and he feels it is difficult to gauge the needs and hear opinions from individuals in the community. That’s why anyone was allowed to stop by the library and speak one on one with Holmes with any of their concerns.
“Every time I have an engagement with somebody in our community I learn something and I take that to the state house and I see how the American process really does work when I can hear directly with people from issues or opinions and insights that I wouldn’t have from daily life. It’s great. I really value these times,” Holmes said.
Holmes said, lately, people have met with him to discuss issues related to the Corona Virus like the economy and unemployment. He also shared his thoughts on some Republican politicians who have been outspoken in criticizing decisions made by Governor Mike DeWine.
“They all have their individual reasons for doing that but its really important for all of us to remember that this is uniquely challenging and, literally, Governor DeWine is making life or death decisions and few of us ever face those kind of challenges,” Holmes said.
Holmes’ session lasted from 2:00 to 6:00 PM today. He said that he plans to visit libraries in Guernsey County in the near future.
