ZANESVILLE – Hayley Watson – Keffer was at the Clay Gardens Place Retirement Community this morning. Since visitors are not allowed into retirement communities, she sang patriotic songs through a speaker system at the front entrance of the building.

“We’re coming in and singing patriotic songs. That’s something that they don’t get everyday so I believe that they will enjoy having the patriotic things going on and I’m also doing a song called you belong to me; Patsy Cline does it and its kind of like an overseas song like see the pyramids along the Nile and stuff so I’ve been here many times and the other facilities that I’m going to be going to and they all seemingly love the Patsy Cline you belong to me and the patriotic song at the end with God Bless the USA,” Watson – Keffer said.

Showing support for the veterans is something very dear to Watson – Keffer.

“I appreciate the veterans because they’re the ones who gave all. Some gave some and some gave all so I have family who are also veterans. Both of my grandfathers passed away and my uncle also passed away after a bridge blew up in Vietnam and hit him in the head with shrapnel so it has kind of a meaning to me you know for all of the veterans; I just appreciate them for having our freedom,” Watson – Keffer said.

Watson – Keffer also stopped by the Oaks of Bethesda, Adams Lane Care Center, Cedar Hills, and Willow Haven Retirement Communities today.
