No Visitors at Genesis HealthCare Effective Tuesday

The Genesis HealthCare System Monday announced that no visitors will be allowed at Genesis HealthCare System facilities effective Tuesday, December 1st , with some exceptions. It is due to the increased prevalence of COVID-19 in the community. Officials say to protect our patients, physicians, staff and community members, no one is permitted to have visitors in the hospital or in the Emergency Department.

Genesis says exceptions will be made for patients who are at end of life or disabled. Patients in the hospital who are at end of life may have three visitors. Patients who are at Morrison House for impatient hospice care may have three visitors with no restrictions on hours.

Other exceptions to the visitor restrictions include labor and delivery patients and post-partum patients, who are permitted one visitor, special circumstances for additional visitors may be approved.

Genesis physician offices and outpatient department also have visitor restrictions.
