Zanesville Man Receives Two Life Sentences in Rape Case

A Zanesville man received two life sentences in a rape case involving a child. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 38-year-old Charles Lovingshimer IV was found guilty in October of four counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, one count of rape with the victim less than 10-years-old, three additional counts of Rape and one count of Endangering Children. Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill sentenced Lovingshimer to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole and was deemed a Tier III Sex Offender. The prosecutor’s office says the offenses occurred between January 28, 2006 and January 24, 2013
