Edmund “Ed” Stanley Young

Edmund “Ed’ Stanley Young , 94 of  Zanesville died at 3:02 PM  Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Genesis Health Care following a two week illness.

He was born February 4, 1926 in Zanesville Ohio the  son of Martin L. Young and  Grace Earich Young.

Ed was a WWII Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific Theater aboard the LSM-341. He retired after many years of service as a truck driver for Greif Brothers. Ed enjoyed bowling and even bowled just a short time ago. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends at the VFW Post #1058 & the American Legion Post #29 where he was a life member of both.

He is survived by a daughter, Sue A. (John L.) Bratton; a sister, Carolyn Lee and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie J. Kilbreath Young and seven siblings.

No public visitation or services will be observed. A funeral service with  military honors will take place at a later date.
