Mary A. Wilson, 91 of Zanesville, died 8:35 PM, Monday, November 23, 2020, at The Oaks at Bethesda.  She was born Saturday, April 06, 1929, in Zanesville, the daughter of William L. Heil and Magdalen (Tonsor) Heil and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement.

 

Mary was co-founder and co-owner of Lumi-Lite Candle Company.

 

Mary belonged to the Zanesville Patriots Club.

 

Mary is survived by her children: Tina Bales-Nelson and her husband Mike Nelson of Norwich, Dan (Liz) Chuhna of Lithia Springs, GA, Bill (Lynn) Paulus of Stone Mountain, GA, and Gina (David) Kent of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Nicholas Paulus, Daniel Chuhna, Betsy Grindle, Chris Chuhna, Kris Kent and Kevin Kent; two great grandsons: Irie and Kole; one great granddaughter: Kallie; two sisters: Barbara Baker of Mount Vernon and Rose Ann Waterson of Reynoldsburg and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son: Ted Paulus; an infant brother and two grandsons: Michael and A.J. Paulus.

 

Per Mary’s wishes, her body was donated to The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Division of Anatomy, where her contribution will further the advancement of medical science and education. Due to current COVID 19 medical conditions, a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement and her cremated remains will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mary’s memory.
