Frazeysburg Fire Department Member Charged in Child Pandering Case

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says a member of the Frazeysburg Fire Department has been arrested in connection to a child pandering case.
Sheriff Lutz says 42-year-old Chad Buchanan has been charged with Pandering Obscenity involving a minor, Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and Gross Sexual Imposition.
Lutz says on December 3rd, 2020 the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office with information obtained from outside the United States. Sheriff’s detective conducted a search warrant December 3rd around 9:00 pm at 2525 Country Side Drive where several items were seized as evidence. The detective also arrested Buchanan who resides at the residence.
Buchanan was employed at the Frazeysburg Fire Department at the time of the arrest. The Sheriff says officers did go to the department on the night of the 3rd, however no search of the fire department was conducted. Lutz says at this time, detectives believe that there weren’t any members of the fire department involved in this case and the department is cooperating fully with detectives.
