Dora Mae Hall, 88, of Zanesville, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Dora was born July 28, 1932 to the late Sylvester Louis and Marrietta (Gooding) Wood. In addition to her parents, Dora is also preceded in death by children, Linda Sue Hall, Ivan David House, Jr., Roger Allen House and William Joseph Marts; 2 sisters; two brothers, including Frederick Wade; and a great-great grandson, Joshua, Jr.
Dora leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Sandra, of Fl., Janet Long, of Tx., Laura (John) Soller, of Fl., and Crystal (Mark) Green; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Rowland, James “Jim” Wade, and Vee Sickafoose; several nieces and nephews; her church family, whom she cherished; Crystal’s siblings, Robert (Kimberly) and Susan, to whom she extended her motherly love; and a host of other family members and friends.
Dora was a dedicated member of the House of Grace Church in Zanesville. In her free time, Dora was known to enjoy activities such as crocheting and reading books. Dora’s book collection was extensive, her own personal library. She was a lover of cats. Dora loved to spend time with her family members. Above all else, Dora truly enjoyed her time spent at her church. She will be deeply missed.
You may call on the family from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 4 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the House of Grace, 2960 Maysville Pike. Burial will take place Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Minister Joe Dunlap officiating. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
