Sheridan, Tri-Valley, Zanesville football receive all-Ohio honors.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Wednesday afternoon, the OHSAA announced the members of the 2020 all-Ohio football teams for Division III, which includes Tri-Valley, Sheridan and Zanesville. All three teams were well represented.

The MVL Big School champion Sheridan Generals led the way with six selections to the all-Ohio teams. Senior linebacker Shay Taylor and junior running back Jason Munyan received first team honors. Taylor was named the 2020 MVL Big School player of the year, finishing the season with 71 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions, including a 99-yard pick six.

Munyan was named MVL Big School back of the year, racking up 1300 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Generals.

Also for the Generals, senior defensive linemen Logan Morris was named to the second team, senior offensive lineman Joey Reynolds was named to the third team, seniors Logan Ranft and Jordan Barnett received honorable mentions.

For the Tri-Valley Scotties., senior running back Blake Sands received second team honors,. and seniors Aidan Fritter, Caden King and Seth Schneider were honorable mentions.

For the Zanesville Blue Devils, junior offensive lineman Julian Jackson was named to the second team. Senior Casey Cassell and juniors Conner Wade and Jordan Martin received honorable mention.
