Annual Home Show Cancelled

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The annual Hearth, Home and Away show has been cancelled for the year 2021. 

The show is normally held in February at the Colony Square Mall. It was cancelled this year because of safety concerns from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

“After some deliberation with Joint Unified Command and with Jeff Bell, Zanesville Fire Department Chief, we decided that it might be a good idea to do so. Spacing is always a bit of an issue out there,” General Sales Manager at WHIZ Jay Benson told reporters.

Many vendors were also skeptical of attending the event. There are currently no plans to reschedule. 

“We may have some additional shows depending on how the virus responds to events and how events respond to the virus. In the future we’re hoping to get back to some normalcy and some of the events that we have done,” Benson continued.

The event is usually held in conjunction with WHIZ and showcases local home improvement companies.
