Panthers and Scotties hold off feisty Electrics and Tornadoes — Fink’s Full Court Press for February 2nd, 2021

PHILO, Ohio – Two years ago Tuesday night, the Philo Electrics boys basketball team defeated the Maysville Panthers in an Muskingum Valley League conference matchup. That win would be Philo’s last conference for nearly two years until ending the drought this past Saturday against Crooksville.
Both the Panthers and the Electrics have been playing their best basketball of the season. Maysville won all but two games in January, one of those wins an overtime thriller against the Electrics.
Tonight, the two teams matched up on the court once more, both trying to continue building momentum into the final weeks of the season.

Tri-Valley big man Caden King was an unstoppable force early on, scoring at will from the post.
Second half would be a different story, as Kyle Riley and the Tornadoes would battle back quickly. Riley would hit a pair of threes late in the third quarter to bring the game within 4 points.
The game would eventually be tied at 46 a piece with 6:40 remaining.
However, Luke Lyall would help Tri-Valley regain and hold the lead to finish out the ball game. Lyall Scores 28 points in total to help push the Scottie to victory
