The Barn reacts to lift of curfew

ZANESVILLE – The order was cancelled because COVID hospitalizations had fallen below 2,500 for 10 straight days. Like many Ohio restaurants, the Barn in Zanesville is very excited.
“We can add basically four hours for our business so we’re incredibly excited for the opportunity to have people have an opportunity to come out and have fun and still say socially distanced. Most of the other rules will stay in place so people have to wear masks, you have to keep more than six feet apart and have the table dividers like we have set up so (there’s) not going to be a change in the landscape. However, we’re able to do that for those four additional hours,” Barn Owner Jim Watson said.
The additional hours have created some job openings for the restaurant.
“We’re already looking to hire a few servers and to move some of the serving staff back to bartending. We really kept everybody working through this so we don’t have a ton of positions. However, from attrition, we do have a few folks that we need to shuffle around and bring some new faces into the Barn so we’re excited about that,” Watson said.
The Barn is anticipating a fun Valentine’s Day weekend. It will feature local live music and food and drink specials starting Friday night.
