MCLS Branches Offering Craft Projects

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The branches of the Muskingum County Library System are offering a special take home craft for the month of March.

The South Zanesville Branch designed the takeaway crafts as part of a monthly rotation. Branch Services Coordinator Joshua McPeek tells us more.

“This month we’ll be making  hanging pot holders. Once it warms up a little bit it’s gonna come with some Cosmos seed, so you can get your own little garden going outside. We really wanted to give back to our community. We miss seeing everybody. We miss doing our projects and crafts together. We still wanna see people, even if it’s just for a moment when they stop in to pick one up,” McPeek told reporters.

The South Zanesville Branch works to accommodate the community through their COVID-19 protocols. One such protocol is their new drive-thru window.

“At each location we do have curbside services so you can come down, call in and we’ll bring the items out to you. Here at the south Library we actually have a drive up window that you can use. So even if you’re a patron at the, let’s say, John Mcintire Library, if you’d like to drive through, just give them a call, ask for them to send their holds over to the south branch, and we’ll have them ready for you at the drive up,” McPeek continued.
