Chamber of Commerce Spring Break Held

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Spring Break event this afternoon.
The event is required through the organization’s bylaws to let members know the ins and outs of the chamber’s year. The event had a Hawaiian theme this year.
“Our annual meeting, we always have right around the first day of spring, which is tomorrow. So, just having a little bit of fun. That is what this event is about: having fun, sending that message to the community, talk to them about what we’ve worked on, and then encourage them to continue moving forward.”, chamber president Dana Matz said while sporting a lovely Hawaiian shirt.
The past year has been tough for area businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chamber believes that businesses have made great strides in certain areas nonetheless.
“It’s interesting, as we’re early in the first quarter of 2021, we’ve adapted as all businesses have. It’ll be interesting to see how many of the changes stay in place and how many we can go back to.”, Matz continued.
