Former Area Principal Faces New Charges

Zanesville Police say former Maysville principal 49-year-old Hank Jackoby is facing new charges in connection with a sex crime investigation in Zanesville.
Detective Sergeant Phil Michel says while investigating Jackoby three images of a nude adult, who was in an impaired state, were found on his phone. He now faces three counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity oriented material.
Jackoby was arraigned in Zanesville Municipal Court Wednesday and posted a $250,000 bond.
Jackoby in January pleaded not guilty to a felony count of tampering with evidence in an unrelated incident.
He is accused of deleting cell phone data related to a sexual assault investigation. Michel says the assault happened around Christmas at a Zanesville home. Police are not saying if Jackoby is accused of assaulting the alleged victim or if there are any other suspects.
Police say there were no students involved in this case. Jackoby resigned in February from the Maysville School District.
