Gaysport bridge closed for inspection

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The Muskingum County Engineer’s Office announced Monday that effective immediately , North Street (Gaysport Bridge) will be closed to traffic.

Officials said crews will be performing a fracture critical inspection on the structure that spans the Muskingum River. 

The bridge, which connects SR 60 and Old River Road, will be closed until further notice, while awaiting the results of the inspection.
