Dog of the Week

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Cooper has been named the Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week.

The three-year-old terrier mix is neutered and fully vaccinated. He has been at the dog warden since April and enjoys all the attention.

“He loves to be petted, loves affection and oftentimes when you’re walking him, he’ll actually stop and have you pet him. He loves verbal praise. He rides very well in the car. I feel like he would do good with any family,” Muskingum County Dog Warden volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

Cooper is kid friendly and dog selective. He is a little too much for cats. Every morning when he’s greeted by a volunteer worker, he listens and behaves well.

“I personally have worked with him everyday and he is really on a routine. He’s very smart and if you were to spend any time with him at all, you could make that happen as well,” McQuaid said.

If you’re interested in meeting Cooper, call the Dog Warden to set up an appointment.
