WHIZ Military Salute Photo Contest

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- If you know a Veteran who has served or is currently serving in the military, be sure to check out the WHIZ website where a photo contest is being held.

In honor of Memorial Day and all the sacrifices and hard work Veterans do, WHIZ is hosting a Military Salute photo contest where individuals can share photos of Veterans they know. This is a summer long contest.

“We just want pictures on our website of the Veteran that’s close to your heart… There’s so many Veterans out there and many people who have served and we really owe them a lot of gratitude for what they have done,” WHIZ Radio Account Manager Jay Benson said.

Eight winners will be chosen and awarded with a 3 x 5 flag made from Annin Flagmakers, located in Coshocton, Ohio.

“It’s meaningful and we’ve had a lot of Veterans say it means a little more knowing that that flag was made right in Coshocton,” Benson said.

This is the third year WHIZ has held this contest. The contest runs now until September 11. Winners are picked on September 14.
