Water Outage in Zanesville, Boil Water Advisory in Effect

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- About 80 residents and businesses in Zanesville are experiencing a water outage today due to a water line break.

A 16 inch transmission line that moves water to the water towers broke. This line broke at the intersection of Pine Street and W Muskingum Avenue.

The road at Pine St. that intersects with W Muskingum Ave. is closed and is estimated to be closed for one week due to the road repairs.

Businesses and residents in the area of Pine Street, W Main Street and Shelby Street can be impacted by this water line break and may experience a water outage.

Those east and west of Ridge Avenue to Cliffwood Avenue may also be effected.

The City of Zanesville Water Division has had maintenance crews out passing out flyers and information to individuals that may experience the water outage.

The City of Zanesville Water Division is in the process of replacing the section of the pipe.

A boil water advisory is in effect for those in the particular areas.
