Schubach Big Band Jamming at Zane’s Landing

DOWNTOWN ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Schubach Big Band began its annual free concert at Zane’s Landing in downtown Zanesville Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
With the heat of the day waning, sun filtering through the leaves of nearby trees, and the Muskingum River flowing by; the atmosphere was primed for a great evening of music and relaxation.
“Well the Schubach Big Band is just ready to play our annual riverfront concert, and we are set to have a great time. We’ve got all sorts of variety of styles, not strictly big band music, but rock, and pop, and a little bit of everything. Two different signers, lots of different soloists, and the weather has turned out perfectly,” David Schubach, director of the Schubach Big Band stated.
The reason the Schubach Big Band performs this concert annually for free is to provide an outlet of culture and entertainment to the community. This year’s concert wasn’t like most years. The band had a year break and was excited as ever to perform for the community.
“This is our gift to the community, we look forward to this, we’ve had a year off so we are ready to go, and we’re gonna have a great time,” Schubach said.
If you missed the concert at Zane’s Landing this evening, mark your calendars for September 25th for another Schubach Big Band Concert for a fly-in of vintage World War II airplanes at the Zanesville Municipal Airport.
