Muskingum County Fair Preparing for Its 175th Year

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Don’t throw in the towel just yet. Summer is not over yet as preparations for the Muskingum County fair are currently underway. 

The fair will run from this upcoming Sunday to next Saturday. In the meantime, the fair board is busy getting the fairgrounds primed for this year’s historic fair.

“Currently we have people moving in our local church stands, our professional concessionaires, and our ride companies here. Starting to set up and get ready for the 175th Muskingum County Fair,” Doug Guinsler, secretary for the Muskingum County Fair stated.

Sunday will be Veteran’s Day where Veterans are admitted free all day, Tuesday is Senior Day where individuals 60+ years old will be admitted for free until 5PM. Additionally; for free admission from 7AM-1PM, you can bring in: a Fazoli’s breadstick bag on Monday, two cans of Kroger brand vegetables on Wednesday, or an empty 20oz Pepsi bottle on Friday.

“Mainly the traditional things, probably our biggest thing at the fair this year is having a new country music superstar Hardy and with him is Travis Denning who had the number four song in 2020 in the United States of America,” Guinsler said.
