Barbara “Bobbi Jo” Callahan, 88, of Zanesville, died on Monday morning, August 23, 2021 at The Oaks at Bethesda.

Born July 15, 1933 in Dresden a daughter of the late Kermit and Mary (Pritchard) Stuller and a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School. Bobbi Jo worked at Goldens Dress Shop in Coshocton,  retired after 20 years of service as a social worker for Coshocton county and then worked at the Longaberger Company clinic. She was Methodist by faith and had a passion and gift for decorating and loved to shop.  Bobbi Jo loved her friends and family.

Surviving are her children, Tim (Cindy) Younkins and Lisa (Jack) Hanson; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Bow) Younkins, Andy (Emeline) Younkins, Kara (Ray) Palkie, Amy (Enrique) Orozco, Adam (Nicole) Younkins, Allyson (Abe) Hajjar, Lauren (Dave) Heinz and Chad (Sarah) Hanson; twelve great grand children; a sister, Shalah James; three nieces, April (Mike) Holmes, Brooke (Jamie) Sands and Jennifer (Steve) Harland; two nephews, Todd (Stacy) James and Brian Griffith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Griffith; the father of her children, Elmer Younkins and her second husband, John Callahan.

In Lieu of flowers memory contributions may be made in Bobbi Jo’s name to The Animal Shelter Society, Inc., 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.

Friends and family may call from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am Friday, August 27, 2021 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.

Bobbi Jo will be laid to rest next to her husband, John in Dresden Cemetery.
