ZAAP Features Frank Fazakas as Artist of the Month

DOWNTOWN ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The ZAAP Gallery is featuring a local artist with a knack for painting local scenes.
Frank Fazakas has been painting consistently since the 80s and while born a Texan, has fallen in love with Zanesville and the surrounding community.
“This is really what we call home. And so, I wanted to show, to reflect, my love for the city and Zanesville in particular. So, just all the paintings are obviously going to be something that people will recognize,” Frank Fazakas, featured ZAAP artist of the month stated.
Scenes depicted in his paintings include: The Y-Bridge, Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl, the Zanesville Welcome Sign, the Courthouse, and the ZAAP Gallery to name a few. For tomorrow’s First Friday event, the ZAAP Gallery is showcasing the theme ‘home’ with all the other paintings.
“What we decided to do -since the home was actually what we’re going to use as the theme. We are going to have some samples of Conn’s potato available, a little bit of Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl Candy, and some Weasel Boy Beer, and some local wine. So if you get a chance to stop by. That’d be great, stop by and get a little taste of Zanesville and the community, and enjoy the artwork,” Fazakas said.
The ZAAP Gallery will be open from 5PM-8PM tomorrow for Art Coz’s First Friday event along with other galleries, shops, vendors, and performances all around downtown town.
