Norwich Area Stabbing Update
The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says one man is in custody after a stabbing Wednesday morning near Norwich. Captain Jeff LeCocq says it happened just after 8:00 a.m. at 165 Sundale Road. LeCocq says his office received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting yelling and screaming from the Sundale Road residence. LeCocq says when deputies arrived they were met by an adult female who had been cut by a male. The suspect fled on foot and was later tracked by a canine unit to a wooded area off of south Moose Eye Road north of I-70 where he was arrested. The victim was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening injury. The suspect was also taken to the hospital for a minor injury. The name of the suspect won’t be released until he is formally charged.
