Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week: Bosco

Dog Of The Week, Bosco

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center dog of the week is Bosco!

Bosco is a terrier mix and came into the adoption center as a stray in September. Mr. Bosco has a lot of energy, but for the most part he does very well around anybody, according to Doug McQuaid, volunteer at Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center.

“We actually had a meet and greet with a puppy on this weekend and he was very good. He seems to be very non re active to all the dogs in our facility. He has quite a bit of energy so it would be someone maybe that would be a runner or they have a large fenced backyard,” McQuaid said. “We felt like it was a little to much for small children just for the fact that maybe he would not harmfully do anything, but just would jump on someone out of excitement.”

Mcquaid added that Bosco also does well in cars and is house broken.

The K-9 Adoption Center is looking for volunteers and people to foster the dogs. McQuaid encourages the community to reach out if interested in volunteering or if you’ve been searching for your dog.

“If you’ve ever thought about maybe volunteering, just walking dogs and so forth, we’re looking for volunteers. Our facility we have a large amount of dogs right now. A lot of them are cat friendly, dog friendly, love kids, we’ve learned a lot about our dogs and so forth. Also too, please if you have lost your dog there is a real good chance that maybe we have your dog. You’re welcomed to come in,” McQuaid said.

There are dogs who have been in the adoption center for over a year and are looking for their new and forever home. The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center is open Monday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And you can do a walk through if interested in Bosco or any other dogs.
