Festival Of Trees Auction 2021

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Festival of Trees auction is finally here and happening now live.

This is the 29th annual Festival Trees that allows resident in the community to bid virtually this year on decorated holiday items like trees, wreaths and more that can include incentives. The proceeds raised will go towards the Chamber member services.

One volunteer talked about how the auctions started out this morning with the help of Community Bank.

“It’s going really well…We started out on the boards with the Community Bank employees at 9:00 a.m. so we took bids as they came in through the phones and wrote them down and we had a really great start to this years Festival of Trees.” Lisa Karling, a Volunteer at Festival of Trees and Senior Loan Mortgage Specialist at Community Bank stated.

Karling said even though they do have an entry for auction, the Community Bank company loves to focus on giving back through volunteerism and loves to help in the community.

There are many other volunteers in attendance that are supporting each other and so far there has been a lot of calls, and things have been moving fast, says Dana Matz, the President of Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

“It gives us an opportunity to promote our local businesses and in turn by them having the entries, they’re supporting the Chamber of Commerce. Chamber of Commerce is a business that is in business to support business and this is our annual fundraiser, The Festival of Trees auction,” Matz said.

The auction ended at 6:00 p.m. today and the amount raised for the Chamber of Commerce amounted to just a little over $52,000.
