The Linda Regula Scholarship is Now Open For High School Seniors

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Linda Regula Scholarship that is sponsored by the Artist Colony of Zanesville (Art COZ) and You Will Rise Organization is now open for high school seniors to apply.

Linda Regula was a very well known and encouraging artist in Zanesville, who always tried to help better everyone, says Kristen Brown, President of the Art COZ.

The scholarship amounts to $2,000 for any high school senior who is interested in the art industry.

“She passed away last year and so we all came together and wanted to honor her, and do a scholarship in her name. So that’s how we came up with the Linda Regula Scholarship,” Brown stated.

The scholarship requests that the student at least a 2.5 GPA and shows that they’ve also given back to the community, and volunteer work.

“We have a 700 through 900 word essay that we would like them to write or what you can do is you can take a video if you’re better at doing video and just talking then you can do a video about your contributions and why you should win the scholarship,” Brown said.

She also encourages the community to reach out to any senior students who may be interested.
