Eastside Community Ministry 7th Annual Chair-ity Auction Underway

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Eastside Community Ministry 7th Annual Chair-ity Auction has officially kicked off and will be taking place this week.
The organization gathered inside of Secrest Auditorium this Wednesday to assist with the many themed chair entries and prepare for the auction.
Jamie Trout, Executive Director of ECM, said they currently have about 60 entries, but the goal is to reach 100 as the benefits do go towards the community.
“This is Eastside’s biggest fundraiser. This fundraiser actually supports all of our everyday programming like food pantry, clothing bank and our year round youth program. So this is vital to be able to provide those services to our community,” Trout stated.
The live auction will be held this Friday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Secrest Auditorium. Residents can come by the auditorium Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. to get a look at all the auction items in person and also vote on the People’s Choice Award for best themed chair.
“We’re just really excited. We have very unique entries this year. There’s something for everyone so if you have any questions or anything, you can give us a call at Eastside or like I said stop by on Thursday and check it out for yourself,” Trout said.
The live auction will also be broadcast on air at AM 1240, 102.3 FM and at WHIZ News.
Residents can still register their bid for the online auction items at www.auctionohio.com up until this Friday at 6:00 p.m.
