WHIZ Sports 2-21: Bishop Hartley Hands Licking Valley Playoff Loss

PATASKALA, OH- The Licking Valley Panthers Girls Basketball team looked to advance to the next round of the playoffs and get one step closer to winning a state title, but the Bishop Hartley Hawks had other plans.

Licking Valley trailed early in the first half, but sparked a quick run as Alicia Graham and Karli Redfern made key baskets that helped cut into the lead.

But, Bishop Hartley’s offense was too much as they would go on a commanding run before halftime.

Kiki McElrath and the Hawks put on a three-point clinic in the first half and continued their efficient evening into the second half as they defeated the Panthers 54-35.
