Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Now Accepting ACES Award Nominations

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Aces Awards and the deadline to enter is coming up soon.

According to Dana Matz, President of Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, the Aces Awards stand for ‘Awards for Community and Economic Success,’ that recognize and celebrate the investments by the locals businesses made in 2021 within their business.

“A lot of the businesses, they don’t ask for an award and sometimes we really have to work hard to get them to nominate themselves, but it’s important to recognize the investment in our community,” Matz stated. “Not only for the business side, but for the citizen side so they know that there’s continued investment in area businesses and showing the prosperity of our community, and also we get to brag about that against our peers as well.”

The ACES Awards are also presented by the Muskingum Growth Partnership and each business that meets the requirements will be recognized during the annual ‘Chamber Week’ in mid March.

Matz said ‘Chamber Week’ is an opportunity for them to promote their membership and the business community through events and celebrations.

“The requirements to submit for an ACES Award is investment in real property, if you added on to your current facility, if you’ve made any major investments in equipment to run your facility or if you’ve doubled your workforce,” Matz said.

The deadline to enter is this Friday, 2/25 and to submit a nomination, please visit zmchamber.com under events.

Once the businesses have been selected, they will not only be celebrated during ‘Chamber Week,’ but also be highlighted on their social media and website, and acknowledged at the Chamber luncheon.
