Fink’s Full Court Press 2-22: Tri-Valley Survives Scare; John Glenn Gets By Claymont

GAME #1: TRI-VALLEY SCOTTIES VS. INDIAN CREEK
DRESDEN, OH- We had ourselves some playoff basketball in Dresden as the Tri-Valley Scotties hosted Indian Creek in “The Dawg Pound”.
Indian Creek, who were looking to make a big upset on the road, quickly jumped out to a 5-0 lead thanks to their pace and ball movement.
Tri-Valley responded with a run of their own and after that, both teams went back and forth.
Indian Creek efficiency helped them stay in the game early on but the hustle and rebounding of Tri-Valley was overwhelming for the road team.
The Scotties only held a one point lead going into halftime but they’d go on to win this one 58-41 and advance to the next round of the playoffs.
GAME #2: JOHN GLENN MUSKIES VS. CLAYMONT MUSTANGS
NEW CONCORD, OH- As the weather gets nicer we inch closer and closer to the State Championship as the John Glenn Muskies prepare to make their title run they first had to get past the Claymont Mustangs.
The win or go home game started off back and forth as they were both trying to find their rhythm. For the Muskies it was Nathan Walker attacking the glass and getting a put back lay up to get their first bucket.
John Glenn would soon step it up on defense and hold the Mustangs to limited possessions and go on a run to give them a 12 point lead.
Avery Parmer would then get in his zone and added 19 points, that would surge the Muskies to victory as they defeated Claymont 56-43.
