Animal Shelter Society Announces, Bear Lee as Pet of the Week

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- This week’s Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week is Bear Lee.
Bear Lee is a 4-year-old German Shepard mix that came into the shelter about 2 months ago.
Rebecca Hunt, the Animal Care Manager at the Animal Shelter Society talked about how Bear is a big dog, but friendly and said Bear wouldn’t do well with a farming family.
“He came to us because he had lived on a farm and he wasn’t doing well with the livestock. He needs to go to a home that has no livestock or cats. If you can tell he is super friendly. He knows how to sit on command,” Hunt said. “He has a lot of energy, he loves to run and play. He would love to go on hikes or anything that’s going to require energy from him, he’s going to love to do. ”
Even though Bear Lee is a big dog with a lot of energy, Hunt said he would still do well with middle aged kids because of how well trained he is .
“Pre teens things like that I think he would absolutely love. He loves all kinds of people, he’s very happy all the time, he’s food motivated so he will learn new tricks and do new things for you I’m sure,” Hunt said.
